Admissions

Welcome to The Brandeis School of San Francisco, where we believe that true learning is connected to purpose. We are excited to introduce you to our school and to get to know your family as you move through the different stages of the application process.

At Brandeis, we strive to “Make it Matter” by applying innovative, curiosity-driven teaching ideas to everything we do. This philosophy is integrated into our athletics and creative arts programming, rigorous academic curriculum, outdoor exploration, and community service projects. We believe that resilience is a critical life skill, and we teach our students to embrace both challenges and successes as learners and leaders. Brandeis students wrestle with ideas, concepts, and traditions that are thousands of years old while finding ways to make them relevant to today’s complex world.

Our school is deeply rooted in Jewish traditions and values, and we proudly celebrate the many ways of being Jewish. We welcome students from all over the San Francisco Bay Area and our generous tuition assistance program aims to make a Brandeis education accessible to every child who is admitted. Our families come from a broad range of backgrounds, representing diverse ethnic, linguistic, and cultural identities. We derive comfort from the rhythms and celebrations of the Jewish calendar, and are inspired by our shared dedication to raising kind, ethical, courageous children.

On this website you will find information about our history, curriculum, parent community, student life, and much more. Is there something missing? Feel free to contact the Admissions Office at any time by emailing us at admissions@sfbrandeis.org. We are eager to partner with every applicant family to make this a joyful and transparent process. Let us know how we can help!
