Middle School Lunch and Learn Pilot Program Launches with Demonstration of Virtual Reality

The Lunch and Learn program for middle school students launched on Monday with great success. Students were invited to sign up for this first pilot activity, “where they can expand their horizons by being exposed to subjects they normally do not experience in the regular school day,” Dean of Student Life Sharona Israeli-Roth says. For Monday’s Lunch and Learn, Director of Technology Evan Arnold and Art Director Gal Roth from Sanzaru Games presented to 61 students about the process of creating a video game for virtual reality. After the presentation, students had the opportunity to interact in virtual reality using the systems Mr. Arnold and Mr. Roth brought with them.

Adds Ms. Israeli-Roth, “I wanted to introduce this program to our students to offer more ways for students to find inspiration in different and unique ways. I am always looking for great speakers; if Brandeis parents know anyone that our students will enjoy please let me know!” The next Lunch and Learn program will take place at the end of January.
