Theater Arts Teacher
Joanne Green is the drama teacher at Brandeis. Prior to coming to Brandeis, Joanne taught drama at The Laurel School and before that for ten years at Drew School. A graduate of Middlebury College, Joanne’s passion for theater began while growing up in Newton, Massachusetts. As an actor, she has performed on and off Broadway and has studied with some of the most renowned teachers in the country, including William Esper in NYC and Shirley Knight in Los Angeles. In addition, she has been a member of the Groundlings Improvisation Troupe in Los Angeles, and her one person show “Loudmouth Chowder” received a nomination for “Best Solo Show” from the LA Weekly.
