Dr. Jody Bloom
5th & 7th Grade
Dr. Jody Bloom teaches 5th and 7th grade Judaic Studies, and is an advisor for 7th grade students. Jody also manages our nationally recognized
Tzedek (Social Justice) Program and is the faculty advisor for the Student Community Board and Mentoring Youth Board. Jody has over two decades of teaching experience and has been at Brandeis since 2009. Jody earned her B.A. from Brandeis University in Near Eastern Judaic Studies, her M.Ed. in Private School Leadership from Teachers College at Columbia University, and her Ed.D from Drexel University in Educational Leadership and Management. In 2016, Jody was awarded a 2016 Diller Educator Award
for Excellence in Jewish Day School Education. Jody and her husband, Josh have a son, Matty, in the Class of 2023 and a daughter, Meriah, in the Class of 2026. On the weekends, Jody can be found hanging out at Stern Grove with her dog, Raven.
