Each day, week, and month, you can feel the Jewish rhythms and rituals within the Brandeis community and culture. They are a central part of the fabric of our school and are a big part of what brings us together and creates our rich environment.
Jewish life at school provides many opportunities for faculty, students, and families to come together as a community. Students and families have multiple opportunities to connect in a way that is meaningful. Singing the blessing after meals, welcoming Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath), coming together for weekly prayer (tefillah), and celebrating holidays together are all examples of Jewish life in our school. Engaging in these and other practices helps highlight the values and lessons inherent in the Jewish tradition.
