Annual Board, Community, and Parent Association Volunteer Celebration Wraps Up 2017–18 School Year

Throughout the year, volunteers make it matter by sharing their time and resources with the Brandeis School of San Francisco in ways that support our students and make a positive impact on the school. Our community came together on Tuesday night at Foreign Cinema for the Annual Board, Community, and Parent Association Volunteer Celebration to acknowledge and celebrate the many volunteers who have helped throughout the year.

Board Chair Howard Caro recognized and thanked outgoing trustees Kerry Lanigan-Freeman and Rebecca Ravel, and Director of Development Stacy Youkilis acknowledged the work of the Brandeis Fund and Spring Fundraiser volunteer committee members. Head of School Dr. Dan Glass thanked outgoing Parent Association President Iris Aluf Medina for her tireless work on behalf of the PA. And finally, Iris presented Ruth Katz with this year's Or Hadash ("New Light") Award, which is presented annually to one outstanding parent volunteer who—in big ways and small, noticed or under-the-radar—has made a positive impact on our community. It was a joyous occasion with much schmoozing and celebrating to be enjoyed! MORE PHOTOS
