Annual Board, Community, and Parent Association Volunteer Celebration Wraps Up 2018–19 School Year

Throughout the year, volunteers make it matter by sharing their time and resources with the Brandeis School of San Francisco in ways that support our students and make a positive impact on the school. Our community came together on Tuesday night at Foreign Cinema for the Annual Board, Community, and Parent Association Volunteer Celebration to acknowledge and celebrate the many volunteers who have helped throughout the year.

Board Chair Howard Caro thanked outgoing trustees, and then was recognized and thanked by Head of School Dr. Dan Glass as outgoing board chair. Director of Development Stacy Youkilis acknowledged the work of the Brandeis Fund and Spring Fundraiser volunteer committee members. Parent Association President Oren Rubinstein was acknowledged for his work on behalf of the PA. And finally, Oren presented Jane Froyd with this year's Or Hadash ("New Light") Award, which is presented annually to one outstanding parent volunteer who has made a positive impact on our community. "Whether it's 'radical kindness' or 'make it matter,' this is a school that really walks the talk," Jane said in a beautiful speech. "Our children have thrived not only academically, but Brandeis has played a vital role in helping them become the caring, ethical people that they are today. So, when you are at a school like this, you should feel inspired to give back!" MORE PHOTOS
