First Annual Track and Field Day Builds Community through Competition and Fun

The 1st annual Brandeis Track and Field Day took place on Friday, May 26. The entire school community convened at Parkside Square & Bob Cheney Park for a morning of fun games, sports, and activities. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade participated in a series of age-appropriate stations, everything from banana tag, bean bag relay race, and limbo for the younger students to the 100-yard dash, tug of war, and the one-mile run for the older students. This day helped build community through competition, athletics, and—most importantly—fun.

“It was amazing to see our entire school community in great spirits and to see all of the planning and work Sam and I put into this event come to fruition,” exclaimed P.E. teacher Patrick Alcasabas, who, along with P.E. teacher Sam Dossick, organized the event. Echoed Head of School Dr. Dan Glass, “It was truly an impressive day. I saw happy kids all over that field!” MORE PHOTOS
