Parents' Association

About the Parents' Association

At Brandeis, everyone in our community strives to make it matter: our students, our faculty and staff, and our parents. The Parents' Association (PA) enriches our school experience and enhances our community. Working closely with our faculty, staff, and board of trustees, the PA volunteers manage activities and events that foster inclusivity and collaboration. Every parent is automatically a member of the PA and active involvement, either as a volunteer and/or participant, is encouraged.

The PA supports the school’s curriculum and fosters parent participation and a sense of belonging through programs such as Jewish holiday events, our annual Book Fair, parent education seminars, and much more.

Each year, the PA honors volunteerism at Brandeis with the Or Hadash (New Light) Award. Nominated by parents, faculty, and staff, this award is presented annually by the Parent Association to an outstanding parent who gives freely and generously of his or her time to the school community and serves as a model of volunteerism. The recipient is presented with the Or Hadash Award at the Community End-of-Year Celebration in June.
