Parents’ Association

The Brandeis Parents’ Association is how parents and guardians show up for this community — welcoming new families, supporting one another, and making sure everyone feels like they belong here.

Our Values

Everything we do is rooted in what Brandeis stands for: a community where differences are honored and every family is genuinely celebrated — across socio-economic background, gender identity, family structure, sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, and more. We embrace honest, sustained conversations about contemporary Jewish life. And we stay connected to our city, building relationships with the broader Bay Area through service learning and social action.

How We Come Together

PA programs are designed to help you connect in whatever way feels right for you and your family.

Chavuarah (Gatherings) — Grade-level small-group gatherings facilitated by room parents. A great way to meet the families in your child’s class.

Jewish Life & Learning — Holiday celebrations, minyan prayer service, and text study opportunities that connect what happens at school to what happens at home.

Parent Education — Guest speakers and facilitated conversations about the topics that matter most to our parents and caregivers.

Chesed (Kindness) — Our Chesed Committee works with the Head of School to offer a helping hand to individuals and families in need. Through intentional acts of lovingkindness (gemilut chasidim), we nurture a community that looks out for each other.
