Student Life

Auxiliary Program

Brandeis provides a range of auxiliary programs to expand student learning and growth while also making daily logistics a bit easier for families. We offer extended care after the school day ends, a selection of enrichments (chess, dance, fencing, etc.) bus service to and from certain San Francisco neighborhoods, and support for other extracurricular activities.

To register for all Auxiliary programs (bus, aftercare, enrichments) please log into your Homeroom account. If you are new to Brandeis and/or don’t yet have a Homeroom account, click on the link above to get started.

PM Care Program

Aftercare is open to all students and is available via drop-in (no pre-registration needed) or as a full year package. Students are given a snack and then either enjoy supervised free play, arts and crafts, playground games, or a changing menu of enrichment classes. Middle schoolers have a dedicated, supervised, phone-free space to do homework or socialize. Aftercare and special camp-style programming is available during parent/teacher-conferences, early dismissal days, and some school holidays.

Hours: 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Cost: $20 until 4:30 p.m. or $40 until 6:00 p.m. (discounted for families receiving tuition assistance)

*Aftercare does not include private tutoring, Brandeis team sports, chorus, middle school musical theatre, or the Brandeis band.

Bus Program Details

Brandeis offers morning and afternoon bus service to and from different areas of San Francisco. We have two primary routes available, known as the NOPA (North of the Park) route and the Castro/Noe Valley route. Morning pick-ups vary according to locations and both buses depart from school at 3:25 p.m. We also offer a Late Bus with limited service that departs at 5:10 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Parents must purchase a full-year bus package, although single rides are available on the NOPA route.

We partner with Zum Transportation to run our bus service and have been very satisfied with the innovations they offer in terms of bus location tracking, student safety and accountability, driver training, and more.
