Athletics Banquet Caps Strong Year
Brandeis athletics celebrated another highly successful year, as athletes, parents, and coaches gathered last night to honor and commend the accomplishments of our Brandeis athletes.

- Girls’ 6th Grade Volleyball – BAIAL Playoffs 2nd Place Finish
- Girls’ JV Volleyball – BAIAL Playoffs
- Boys’ Varsity Basketball – CYO Playoffs
- Girls’ Varsity Basketball – BAIAL playoffs/CYO League Champions
- Girls’ JV Basketball – BAIAL Playoffs
- Girls’ 6A Basketball – BAIAL Champions/CYO 2nd Place Finish
Athletics Director Corrie Mizusawa recognized Brandeis's strong program, and coaches for each sport presented the awards of MVP, Most Improved, and Lion. In addition to team awards, Coach Corrie presented the Iron Lion Award to eighth graders Maurice “Mo” L. and Noga E. The Iron Lion is awarded to one male student athlete and one female student athlete who have participated in at least two sports during their eighth grade year and have demonstrated enthusiastic school spirit, strong sportsmanship, outstanding leadership skills, and an extraordinary work ethic. Past Iron Lion Award winners Mitchell K. '15 and Mira T. ’16 were invited to speak about their athletics experiences, both at Brandeis and in high school.
