Students Share Amazing Work at Middle School Showcase

On Monday, May 22, middle school students shared with their family and friends projects they have been working on all year. It was a fun night featuring food trucks and many visual and performing arts. The new mural on display in the media resource center, created by both the middle school mural elective and all students and faculty, was officially presented. Students in electives ranging from animation to dance to band showcased their work. The 8th graders’ vignettes reflecting on their time in Israel were on display, as was the work of the students in the “Architectural Approach to Homelessness” elective.

In addition, all year sixth graders have participated in an ADMBB (art, drama, music, band, and BUILD) elective, in which they wrote the screenplay and music, designed the sets, and performed as both actors and musicians in Troubled Lands, the story about a young elf Delfina who has been betrayed by her best friend and boyfriend so she sets off on a magical journey.

“Where to begin?” exclaimed Dr. Sivan Tarle, director of middle school. “The first annual middle school showcase was a non-stop, multi-faceted, and dynamic success!” Added Head of School Dr. Dan Glass, “What a powerful, joyful celebration of our creative students.”
