  • INQUIRE

Thank you for your interest in The Brandeis School of San Francisco. You are invited to begin the admissions process at Brandeis by inquiring online. Once you inquire, you will be contacted by Polly Sapakie to schedule a campus visit.
  • VISIT

We invite you to take a tour of our school campus. During the tour, led by Director of Admissions Tania Lowenthal, you will have the opportunity to experience the day in the life of a Brandeis student.

If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled tours, please contact Polly Sapakie, Admissions Assistant, at psapakie@sfbrandeis.org.
  • APPLY

All applications, including submission of student evaluation forms, may be completed by logging into our website. You may start the form and resume at any time.

You may choose to apply in the fall, which gives you more flexibility in scheduling your parent interview. Please be sure to submit your application 3 days prior to your parent interview.

The application is due January 24, 2020. Please be sure to also include a recent photo of the applicant.

A completed application includes the application form, student evaluation form, $100 non-refundable fee, and a recent photo of the applicant.
  • STUDENT EVALUATION FORM/STUDENT RECORDS

You can click for the K-1 student evaluation form and click here for the 2-8 student evaluation form. These forms are also available on your online checklist by logging into our website. You can email it directly to your child's teacher and/or print, sign, and complete the top portion of the form and give it to your child's current teacher(s) to return to Brandeis.

We also require the applicant's report cards, narrative reports, and standardized tests from the past two years, as well as any other pertinent information. Please complete the top portion of the records release form and give to the applicant's school so that these documents can be mailed to Brandeis.
  • STUDENT VISIT

As part of the admissions process, student applicants have the opportunity to visit the school, participate in the classroom, and get to know our their Brandeis cohort. During your child’s visit, a member of the admissions team will do a basic reading, writing, and math assessment with your child. Additionally, your child will meet one-on-one our director of admissions for a brief conversation. This gives us an opportunity to get to know your child better and to recognize their unique spark. If your child is already taking the ISEE (independent school entrance exam) and you’ve submitted your child’s results, we will waive our assessment.

Recognizing that your time is valuable, we strive to schedule both the student visit and parent meeting on the same day.
  • PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING

Once a child's application has been submitted, parents/guardians are invited to a 30-minute conversation with Director of Admissions Tania Lowenthal to continue the process of getting to know your family. At Brandeis, we take this process of choosing a school for your child and a community for your family very seriously. We strive to create a school community where students and families understand and are supportive of our mission and values of kindness, integrity, and service.
