Intermediate Music Intensive - Rising 5th-9th Grade

🎶  What Makes This Program Awesome?

Each day mixes focused skill-building with big ensemble fun:

• 1.5–2 hours of full band rehearsal as musicians prepare for a show-stopping final performance
• Sectional coaches will break students into instrument groups for targeted coaching
• Specialized Music Reading Training - Learn tips and tricks for mastering the musical staff and knowing your notes like the back of your hand.
• Awesome Guest Artists - The camp will feature many special guests and experts in their fields. Students will learn about conducting an orchestra, world music, DJ’ing, jazz, starting their own bands and more!
• It’s the perfect training ground for players who want to grow fast, play hard, and have fun doing it!

🎸 Electives & Musical Adventures
Because every musician deserves a little creative play, students can dive into:

• Strings - Bass, Guitar, and Ukulele 
  • Students will get the opportunity to explore some of the most popular instruments in the string family
• Beatmaking & Digital Music
  • Students will create their own music, write mini film scores and learn the basics of digital production

• Music Theory - Students will begin to understand the DNA of music and what makes great music work! 
• Ear Training - Ever heard a song on the radio and wanted to play it? The camp will break down the steps of growing “super ears” for hearing and understanding music. 
• Music Reading Jump Start - Take a big leap in your ability to read music and step away from the camp with a new level of pitch and rhythm mastery. 
• Music Discovery - There is so much great music from all around the world - past present and future. We’ll be exploring different styles and looking ahead at what’s to come!
