Jonathan Ferris

Jonathan Ferris is the Judaic Studies & Hebrew teacher for Kindergarten and will begin his 28th year of teaching at Brandeis in 2026. Jonathan also serves as the Tefillah Coordinator for all grades. A past recipient of the Diller Award for Excellence in Jewish Day School Teaching, Jonathan earned a Certificate in Day School Teaching from Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles as part of the DeLeT Program. He holds a multiple subject credential and a single subject teaching credential in music, and has been involved musically with both Congregation Emanu-El and Camp Tawonga for thirty years.
